摘要

Larvicidal activity of Pseudomonas fluorescens was assessed by isolating from ecologically different sites in and around Madurai, Tamilnadu, S.India. The isolated organisms were conformed as Pseudomonas fluorescens. Larvicidal activity of Pseudomonasfluorescens isolates was tested against the larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus by using the standard bioassay and probit analysis. The isolates of Pseudomonas fluorescens sh.owed a significant variation in their larvicidal activity. Protein profile study was als.o carried out t.o study the toxic proteins of Pseudomonas fluorescens isolates. The protein profiles of Pseudomonas fluorescens treated and untreated larvae of Culex quinquefasciatus showed the presence and absence of toxic protein respectively.
