Contributions by Eberhard Schurmann to foundry science

摘要

A survey of Eberhard Schurmann's metallurgical work in the field of foundry science is given. Metallurgical principles of melt/slag-reactions, thermal analysis and solidification behaviour, back plate (shell) moulding and coke and cokeless cupola are specially referred to.
