Raman spectroscopy was used to study the molecular relaxation processes in lithium carbonate (Li2CO3). It has been established that in crystalline carbonate Li2CO3, the first-order structural phase transition has an extended character. The existence of a pretransition region in the carbonate Li2CO3 studied here was found. (C) 2019 Optical Society of America
