The Indonesian government recently granted 22 new oil and gas blocks out of 25 on offer.Niko Resources and partners were provisionally awarded four blocks,each of about 5000km2 and primarily in deepwater.The company will operate two of the blocks and earn a 51% working interest.These are in Kutei Basin where over 7 billion boe have been proved to-date on land and in shallow water.In the two non-operated blocks,associated with areas containing in excess of 2 billion boe,it will earn a 25% working interest.
