Dow Water & Process Solutions to partner with Ahlstrom for clean, safe drinking water solutions

Dow Water & Process Solutions (DW&PS), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, has entered into an agreement with Ahlstrom, a global high-performance fibre-based materials company, to use Ahlstrom Disruptor technology for drinking water applications. DW&PS will incorporate Ahlstrom's filter medium into a new set of drinking water Purification products that offer pathogen rejection while operating at high flow and low pressure. The products virtually remove microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and cysts in water streams that can cause sickness. They operate at a high flow rate even at low pressure for drinking water applications, as they are suitable for use in areas without electricity, do not generate waste water or require chemicals.
