Emerson to automate Suzhou CCP plant

The contract to automate the new 780MW Wangling combined cycle power plant (CCP) in Suzhou City,Jiangsu Province,China,has been awarded to Emerson Process Management.It will install its Plant Web digital plant architecture at the Wangling plant,owned by China Huadian Corporation,whose two CCP units will supply power to China's eastern provinces.Emerson is introducing PlantWeb to a Chinese power generation controls market it reckons is worth some us120 million annually,with projected growth running at around 15% per year.
