Pluto project a step closer

Woodside Petroleum has approved commitments of up to 1.1 billion for the Pluto LNG development,allowing funding for site preparation and long lead items ahead of a final investment decision,expected mid-2007.The Pluto development,located in permit WA-350-P,190km northwest of Karratha in Western Australia,is scheduled to begin supplying LNG to Kansai Electric and Tokyo Gas by the end of 2010.
