Major investments announced for polyamide projects in China

The polyamide production base in China looks set for further growth,following the announcements made by several major European firms to direct expansion efforts into the Chinese market.Following the inauguration of its new compounding site for engineering plastics at its Jiangyin site,DSM has decided to invest in another new facility at the same site to produce high viscosity grades of its Akulon polyamide 6,aimed at exploiting the growing business potential in the region for film packaging applications.
