A berdeen-based integrity,inspection and corrosion specialist iicorr reckons it has saved one of its clients pound700,000 by coming up with a novel subsea inspection system.The Trac-scan crawler system was custom-designed for one of the company's clients to inspect a horizontal 14in riser section for corrosion in 140m of water.
