Unocal Makassar, production-sharing contractor to BPMigas, has begun drilling operations on Phase One of its deepwater West Seno field offshore East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The first well of an anticipated 28-well development programme spudded from the newly installed TLP-A-the region's maiden application of deepwater tension leg platform technology - in the Makassar Strait in 975m of water.
