Myanmar debut for Constellation rig

The first of GlobalSantaFe's new high-performance jackup rigs, Constellation 1 (pictured), left Singapore's PPL Shipyard in July for its maiden assignment - an US8.8 million, three-well program off Mayanmar that is expected to take four months. Valued at US125 million and equipped with a dual activity pipe handling system and state-of-the-art drilling capabilities, the rig is rated to drill to 30,000ft in up to 400ft of water.
