The economics of bringing gas-to-liquids (GTL) technology to the offshore arena could be revolutionized by a new compact, high efficiency process developed by GTL MicroSystems. The company, a JV between FMC Technologies Inc and Accentus of the UK, a subsidiary of AEA Technology, has bee working on the design for two years, targeted at overcoming many of the problems associated with scaling down conventional technology.
