Solvay inaugurates South-East Asia's largest sodium bicarbonate plant in Thailand to meet growing demand for high-quality products, in healthcare, food and other consumer goods markets throughout Asia, Located on its existing site at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong province, the plant benefits from strong infrastruc- ture, utilities and supply chain synergies. With an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes, Solvay invested ?20 million in this plant which uses the company's new generation BICAR~R production technology that minimizes waste generation, optimizes energy recovery and maximizes yield. The project has the full support of the Board of Investment in Thailand.
