Automating the design process for electromagnetic devices

This paper presents the next logical step in CAD tools for the design of electromagnetic devices. Artificial intelligence techniques are used to incorporate the designer's role into a comprehensive system for automating the design process. This paper describes the design process and presents the structure of such a system.
