Maari first oil imminent

Following weather delays, the Maari oil field in offshore south Taranaki Basin was in its final development phase as AOG went to press. Jackup Ensco 107 is set to drill five oil producers and three water injection wells from Maari's 10,000t wellhead platform, an innovative self-elevating 'DrillACE' structure developed by Clough and Arup and installed by Clough last year in 105m of water in the Tasman Sea.
