Mini-LNG plants promise cost-effective energy

Global Cryo Systems, a member of the Dubai-based Global Process Systems Group, chose Gastech 2008 in the Thai capital to unveil the range of skid-mounted small to medium scale LNG plants it is developing with capacities in the range of 5mmscf/d to 220mmscf/d, plants the company believes are ideally suited for flare reclamation, virtual pipeline (truck and trailer deliveries), coal bed methane recovery and, increasingly, alternative energy projects. Operations manager Dave Gordon says: 'Rising energy costs coupled with increased energy demand have generated significant opportunities for mini and micro LNG plants. LNG provides a clean and cost-effective method of delivering an alternate source of energy to various industries.
