Keppel Corporation yards,Keppel Pels(KFels)and Keppel Pels Offshore & Marine(KFels O&M)and SembCorp Marine subsidiary Jurong Shipyard(JSL)continue to cater to a concentration on jackups and semi-submersibles.Gulf Drilling International(GDI)has placed a contract with KFels to build a 130 million jackup.To be delivered by end 2007,the Gulf-5 is a KFels B class design,capable of drilling to 30,000ft in water depths of up to 400ft and suitable for operation in the Arabian Gulf and Indian waters.GDI is a 60:40 joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and Japan Drilling Company
