摘要

The ultrasonic velocity and density of polyacrylamide in water, ethanolamine, diethanolamine, and triethanolamine solutions were measured at 299 K at different concentrations. Variations in ultrasonic velocity, acoustic impedance, adiabatic compressibility, and free length were found to be nonlinear. Other parameters, such as mole fraction, effective molecular weight, molar volume, Rao constant, Wada's constant, available volume, and relaxation strength were also calculated. The nonlinear variation predicts the presence of solute-solvent interactions in PAA solutions, and it is observed that the interactions are very weak in a particular concentration. The molecular interactions present in the solutions are discussed in light of polymer concentrations and solvents.
