Native Pinewood Managers Group:Visit to the Black Wood of Rannoch - 24 October 2022

Twenty pinewood managers visited this iconic pinewood on a picturesque autumn day. We were joined by staff from Forestry and Land Scotland’s East Region, together with freelance historian Mairi Stewart and Rob Goope, formerly Environment Forester andWildlife Ranger for this area. Charlie Taylor, who was previously secretary of this group and a former district manager of Tay Forest District, also provided valuable information through the day. Graeme Findlay, Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) Planning Manager, led the discussion and kept us on our toes with a series of thought-provoking questions.
