Colour change technology turns tanks into battlefield chameleons

Hi-Tech polycarbonate cells are being used to give tanks camouflage capabilities in constantly changing environments. The energy efficient camouflage cells were developed by researchers from the University of South Australia in collaboration with the Defence Science and Technology Group. The cells are made from inducting polymers wrapped in polycarbonate sheets that are able to change colour patterns on demand to closely match surroundings.
