Authors' response to 'comments on Sancini et al.'.

摘要

The aim of our study was to verify the injury trend over a long period and to evaluate the methods to quantify the injury rate modifications over time. Our aim was not to verify the causes of changes in injury rates; in fact, papers that covered the causes but not their trend were not included. Our choice depends on the characteristics of the literature analysed that presents lack of standardization, as we largely discuss in our paper. Our meta-analysis highlights these limits of standardization and the heterogeneity of the evaluated and included papers.
