When we talk about the impact that suicide has, 80% of people who die by suicide are of the working-age population: 18 to 64 years old. So, the workplace itself is a setting for suicide prevention and intervention and crises response, and it is essential to saving lives. When we talk about risk factors that can lead to suicide, research has shown that there's no one cause of suicide. There are often risk factors, health factors, historical factors and environmental factors. These are conditions that can converge at different times in a person's life and increase their risk for suicidal behavior.
