Cooper Energy reports that the Perlubie-3 oil appraisal well in PPL 247 on the western flank of the Cooper Basin, Australia, has been spudded. As of 30 March the rig was drilling at a depth of 83m (272ft). Perlubie-3 is targeting the Namur Sandstone and has a planned total depth of around 1,415m (4,643ft) to appraise and develop the northern area of the Perlubie oil field.
