As we have previously reported, retail sales of potatoes (those sold at grocery stores) have increased dramatically since the pandemic began as more people choose to eat at home. Potatoes USA recently released numbers for the last quarter of 2020 (October-December). These numbers show a continuation of five-year record highs in both retail potato dollar sales and volume. In fact, potatoes have had the largest percent increase in sales of any vegetable sold in the produce section during the pandemic.
