Reliance gets India well approval

Reliance Industries has received government approval to drill eight exploration wells in Block DY-III-D5 offshore India’s southern state of Tamil Nadu. The drilling campaign is expected to cost US $118.8m, according to a report in domestic daily The Economic Times. Reliance won the block under India’s New Exploration Licensing Policy III and has been granted the environment clearance to drill on 11 prospects in the block.
