Adrastic increase of solid waste of 159,000 tonnes was observed from 2014 to 2015 in Singapore. The growing population and rise in affluence and purchasing power, substantially increase the production of solid waste overyear. This situation is not unique to Singapore, but also happens across other nations in this planet.
