PNG battle over Elk and Antelope fields

Papua New Guinea (PNG) wants France’s Total to lead construction of a new LNG export project using gas from the Elk and Antelope fields instead of the gas being used to expand an existing project, according to country’s Energy Minister. PNG started exports from ExxonMobil’s US $19 Bn PNG LNG project this year. While an expansion of that project is planned, PNG wants to see Total lead another LNG export plant.
