West Papua seismic starts

KrisEnergy has started a 300km 2D seismic shoot in the Udan Emas Production Sharing Contract (PSC) onshore West Papua, Indonesia. The seismic survey, which was awarded to PT Quest Geophysical Asia, forms part of the work obligations under the PSC. The shoot is expected to last four months. KrisEnergy also plans to undertake aerogravity and magnetic surveys in the PSC, which covers 5,400sq km in the Bintuni Basin – which the company described as “a proven prolific gas province containing several multiple-trillion-cubic-feet gas discoveries”.
