Woodside seals Australia asset deal

In December 2014 Woodside entered into a binding transaction with Apache Corp to acquire Apache’s Wheatstone LNG and Balnaves oil interests in Australia and Kitimat LNG project interests in Canada, for an aggregate purchase price of US $2.75 Bn and an expected closing adjustment of around $1.0 Bn. Woodside has today sealed a deal to buy the Australian Wheatstone LNG and Balnaves oil field assets from Apache for a total of $2.817 Bn, including a closing adjustment of $567m.
