Cue Energy Resources has been given government approval for a farm-in deal with Bukit Energy to acquire a 12.5% stake in the Mahato Production Sharing Contract (PSC) onshore Central Sumatra, Indonesia. The 5,600sq km Mahato PSC is located in “a highly prospective area in the prolific Central Sumatra Basin close to several producing oil fields”, including Indonesia’s largest onshore oil fields; the Minas field (more than 5 Bn bbl) and the Duri field (more than 3 Bn bbl), Cue said.
