It was a media release that almost discretely slipped under the radar for many defence analysts - that Korean Air had delivered its first AH-6 fuselage, commissioned by Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS), to its facility in Mesa, Arizona on June 26, this year. Korean Air signed a contract in December 2021 to manufacture eight AH-6 fuselages that will undergo final assembly by BDS before being delivered to the Royal Thai Army to replace their ageing AH-1F Cobras throughout 2024. At the time, Jessie Farrington, the business development director of Attack Helicopter Programs, stated: "We welcome Thailand's selection of Boeing's AH-6 light attack reconnaissance helicopter and look forward to working with the US and Thai governments as part of the foreign military sales process.
