A new publication in Science on the parvalbumin-positive excitatory visual pathway

In a new study published on June 26 in Science, a research group led by Professor Cao Peng of the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has made great progress in understanding the parvalbumin-positive excitatory visual pathway that triggers the fight or flight response in mice.The CAS made references to one of China's four great classic novels- Water Margins (水浒传), a chapter which narrates Wu Song's fight with a tiger. The text include verbs such as, "dodged," "evaded," "jumped," "grabbed," illustrate Wu Song's psychological changes and responses in face of danger.
