Italy’s ISAB refinery pledges to keep operating after decree paves way for trusteeship

The Lukoil-owed, 321,000 b/d ISAB refinery in Sicily pledged Dec. 2 to continue operating from stocks and imports of non-Russian crudes after the Italian government paved the way for a trusteeship days before fresh EU sanctions on Russian oil imports are due to kick in. ISAB said it can operate the plant for the foreseeable future unhampered thanks to stockpiled feedstock in past months and due to future supplies it has ordered of non-Russian crude.
