Eni’s Ca Ngu 1 exploration well in Vietnam has intercepted a 50ft (15.2m) hydrocarbon column, according to partner KrisEnergy. The well has now been plugged and abandoned after encountering the oil and gas in the primary objective. KriEnergy director exploration and production Chris Gibson-Robinson said the well did not encounter a significant volume of hydrocarbons. However, he said it confirmed the existence of a petroleum system in the area.
