Malaysia’s state-owned Petronas is looking to offload its equity in five oil fields offshore Vietnam for a total of US $300m, according to reports. Reuters cited two sources as confirming the deal, although they did not give further details of the fields. The report cited another source familiar with the deal as saying Bank of AmericaMerrill Lynch had been appointed to find buyers for the stakes the company holds in the Vietnam oil fields.
