At some 300ft long, Airlander 10 is one of the most spectacular aircraft to appear in recent years. Established in 2007, Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) hopes the aircraft's unique design will bring new capabilities and flexibility to different markets within aerospace - and do so sustainably. Gearing up for full-scale production, the company has received orders for the aircraft - Air Nostrum recently signed up - and it is looking ahead to further developing its design later this decade. HAV explained: "We need to travel further, to more places, with less impact. Our defence forces need to think about intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance differently, as they become more and more data reliant. These challenges demand a new way of thinking."
