The long-term restoration of a unique Morecambe & Heysham AEC Regent in was completed in time for it to appear at the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust's (RVPT) running day on May 21. An exhibit at the 1950 Commercial Motor Show at Earls Court in London, 8ft-wide 72 (MTC 540) was a one-off in the Lancashire towns' municipal fleet, as its Park Royal body had many of the features of London Transport's RT class.
