American Airlines signed an agreement with Boom Supersonic for the purchase of Overture, what is set to be the world's fastest commercial airliner. The carrier has committed to purchasing up to 20 examples, with an option for an additional 40. American said it has already transferred a non-refundable payment to the manufacturer for the first 20 jets.
