Toray Industries is awaiting approval from the Japanese and Chinese governments for its plan to export its carbon-fibre technology to China,a company source said.The source said the Chinese government was likely to approve the plan within the current financial year,but added that there had been indications that the Japanese government was concerned about the possible use of the 'strategic material' by the Chinese military should Toray set up a production base in China.Nevertheless,he expected the Japanese government to give its approval in the next 6-12 months.
