Harbin Petrochemical has been forced to halt trial runs at certain sections of its recently expanded phenol/acetone unit in Harbin City,China,owing to a cut in water supply,the company said(see page 11).However,company officials were confident that commercial production at the plant,the capacity of which was raised to 120 000 tonne/year from 45 000 tonne/year in October,would begin on schedule at the end of the year.
