Yizheng may build third PTA plant

Yizheng Chemical Fibre is considering building its third purified terephthalic acid(PTA)plant in Yizheng,Jiangsu,China,said sources close to the company.The company operates two plants with capacities of 350000 tonne/year and 530 000 tonne/year.It is to hold a turnaround for the larger plant at the end of March,during which the unit would be expanded to 600 000 tonne/year,according to CNI,ACN's sister online service.One of the sources stressed that the company had not decided whether or not to go ahead with building the third plant.
