Tianjin eyes '08 C2 start-up

Tianjin Petrochemical aims to start work on its 1m tonne/year cracker project in Dagang,Tianjin,China,this year and bring it onstream in 2008,sources close to the project told ACN.The company had started work on the engineering design after completing a feasibility study,said one of the sources.He added that experts from its parent company,Sinopec,had reviewed the study and given their recommendations.Tianjin Petrochemical had originally planned to build a 900 000 tonne/year cracker at the site(ACN 17 May 2004).
