OPTIMAL Olefins is considering expanding its 600 000 tonne/year cracker in Kerteh,Terengganu,Malaysia,said a source close to the company.He said it was conducting a commercial evaluation on the expansion,adding that a decision was likely be made in the next two years.If it proceeds with the project,the additional capacity could come onstream in 2007-08.The company could not be reached for comment at press time.
