TOTAL Petrochemical has shelved a plan to expand its 75 000 tonne/year polystyrene (PS) plant in Tuas,Singapore,a company spokeswoman told ACN.The company,formerly Atofina,was considering doubling the capacity of the plant by mid-2005 (ACN 10 November 2003).The spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason for shelving the project.
