Wanhua targets SOOktpa MDI

Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes aims to expand its methyl di-p-phenylene iso-cyanate(MDI)production in Ningbo,Zhejiang,China,a company source told ACN.The company has a 100 000 tonne/year MDI unit in Yantai,Shandong,China,and it is building a second unit in Ningbo Daxie Development Zone.The 160000 tonne/year MDI project was originally scheduled to start up in HI 2006(ACN 1 March 2004).However,the source said the company could start up the unit by end-2005.
