Syngenta has launched its insecticide, Laudento (isocycloseram - trade-marked as Plinazolin), in Chile. The suspension concentrate formulation is for use on grapevines, citrus fruits, pome fruits, and cherries, among other crops offering broad spectrum control from Lepidopteran pests to mites. The insecticide is approved for use against Chilean false red mites (Brevipalpus chilensis), fruit tree weevils (Naupactus xanthographus), and grape mites (Colomerus vitis) on grapevines, as well as Chilean false red mites on citrus fruits, and European red mites (Panonychus ulmi) on pome fruits, and two-spotted spider mites (Tetranychus urticae) on cherries.
