Markets were brisk.A number of deals were settled as traders scrambled to capitalise on gains in the US market.Prices in the US surged to USUS2.75/gal fob USGC,USUS0.17-0.28/gal higher than two weeks earlier.Prices also rallied on the back of crude values which surged in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.Early in the week,two 2000-tonne 2H September lots were sold at USUS740/tonne fob Korea,USUS65/tonne lower than two weeks earlier.This was USUS15-20/tonne higher than prices in the previous week,however.A third 2000-tonne October parcel was sold at USUS750/tonne fob Korea.
