Zhongtai plans more PVC

Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical Co plans to produce 600 000 tonne/year of polyvi-nyl chloride(PVC)and 500 000 tonne/year of caustic soda in phases by 2010,a company source told ACN.ACN earlier reported that the company was to build a 120 000 tonne/year calcium carbide-based PVC plant and a 100 000 tonne/year ion-membrane chlor-alkali facility in Shanshan,Xinjiang,China(ACN3 May 2004).But the company's subsequent phases were not known then.
