CPC GETS GOVT NOD FOR TAIXI PROJECT

Chinese Petroleum Corp(CPC)and five domestic partners have obtained government approval to build an NTUS400bn(USUSl1.9bn)integrated project in southern Taiwan,a company official said.The project,at Taixi,Yunlin county,would comprise a 300 000 bbWay refinery and a naphtha cracker producing 12m tonne/year of ethylene,800 000 tonne/year of paraxylene and other derivatives.
