Kureha plans to double earnings by 2008

Kureha Chemical aims to double its operating profit to Yen20bn(USUS191.1m)by 2008,compared with its operating profit for 2004,according to its new medium-term plan for 2005-08.It also aims to increase its sales by Yen45bn to YenlSObn in the same period and raise the value of shareholders' equity by 10% in 2008.The firm's president and chief executive officer,Hiroshi Tanaka,told ACN that Kureha planned to achieve these by expanding its plants to maximise their profitability,and by growing new businesses.
